Gary Johnson's Chances of Getting Into the Debates
Gary Johnson will make a marijuana infused tea with a tea bag shaped like a marijuana leaf. It will cost $4.20. He will also sell real pot pies (aka ones with marijuana in them) called Dope Pot Pies. Not really, but it would be funny if he said that for his opening statement if he gets into the debates.
CNN reported on July 17 that Johnson has 13% and Jill Stein has 5% in the polls. In order to get into the debates, both of them need to be at 15%. http://www.cnn.com/2016/07/17/politics/hillary-clinton-donald-trump-cnn-poll/
Since a lot of Americans are sick of the 2-party system and can not stand Trump or Clinton, they are looking to 3rd party candidates. Stein and
Johnson are viable options, but there are plenty of 3rd party candidates to pick from.
The media covers whatever gets attention. At the end of the day, the media is a business. So, if you hate the 2-party system, then you should share articles and videos about 3rd parties with your friends, family, and acquaintances. Write in the comment section about how you want them to receive more coverage.
On a serious note, Gary Johnson wants to combat crony capitalism and is against the NSA spying on American citizens. A lot of people have made infographics as to how Bernie Sanders is similar to Gary Johnson and Jill Stein.
Jill Stein wants to label foods that are genetically modified until an ample amount of research has proven they are safe for consumption. She's also against NAFTA and the USA Patriot Act because she believes American citizens deserve privacy. CNN will feature a town hall meeting for her on August 17th and 9 pm. They had a town hall for Gary Johnson on August 3rd and it's on YouTube.
